It Aint Easy Being Green

Color Inspiration from today's NPR

Monday, January 31, 2011

Ok, so I know it's corny to admit that you like butterflies, but I'm corny and admitting it. Any-hoo, felt really inspired by this photo on NPR so I created this color story, replete with Pantone chips. You can go and appreciate in secret, I won't tell anyone you were looking at butterflies.

I had this photo sitting around for a while and created another color story with, this time with Pantone chips. Photo is from NPR.com, I unfortunately do not have the link any longer.

Color Stories: Mad Hatter

Picture from "Alice in Wonderland" found on NPR.com

Are you so happy to finally see Tim Burton's remake of Alice in Wonderland? I know I am. What I am most intrigued about is seeing what type of inspiration designers will be taking from the costuming in the movie. I myself have been feeling very stimulated about the colors so far. I made this color palette inspired by this picture I found on NPR just for you, dear readers. Do with them what you wish. Tell me if they fuel any of your creative projects.

Color Stories

This just in from NPR: atoms splitting can look really cool. I just love the three shades of grey with the red in this illustration. Oh, the wonders of science.
